I went to Malacca last week, having job to be done. After wrap up everything, we were invited by this one generous senior military officer to have lunch at this famous local restaurant. Nasi Ayam Hailam, country's most famous dish i think. Located at No. 8&10, Jalan Keris Emas, Taman Keris Emas, 76300 Sungai Udang, Melaka. Senang cakap, Taman Keris Emas ni sangat near dengan simpang tiga yang nak masuk ke Kem Terendak.
Lunch time penuh crowd. Tapi luas, comfortable for dining. Their servive, so far very good, sangat cepat. They have each person yang tukang potong ayam, tukang cedok soup, tukang bubuh nasi.
This restaurant mainly jual nasi ayam ye. Bussiness hour dia hanya lunch time sahaja. Local people sendiri bagitahu i, pukul 11 pagi dah buka sampai la ke pukul 3 petang. This restaurant is owned by a Chinese - i nampak lah tokey kedai ke hulu ke hilir, tapi is a certified Halal Restaurant.
If makan about 4 pax, better ambil one whole chicken. They serve dalam large tray ayam tu and siram kuah hailam. Yummeh! Kalau suka sup kaki ayam, you can get for free. Sambal pula they serve satu jar per table.
Ok, bergetar tangan nak ambil gambar sebab menggigil lapar tengok the hot and sexy whole chicken tu. Rasa? Sedap semuanya, baik ayam, nasi, kicap, sambal, taugeh, soup, timun - good old chicken rice.
And it reminds me of Nasi Ayam Hainan Bus Stand Kuale, nasi ayam No.1 in town. Dulu kecik-kecik selalu makan situ, tapi sekarang kedai tu dah tak ada, adik-adik i memang tak sempat merasa la...
