Leg godt

Salam all.

Ever heard about Leg godt? It is a danish phrase yang bermaksud 'play good'. According to Sheikh Waleed Abdulhakeem, known as The Travelling Imam, the most famous product in the world among danish is not butter or cheese, it is Leg godt (Lego).

And today, as we can see, even with all the digital distractions for today's generation, Lego is still the most famous toy. At first i thought they just send the Lego wave to our kids and youngsters due to the Lego movie. But i was totally wrong.

Indeed, the Lego Legacy continued today in every form. Education, videogames, movies, Japanese robots, testing gravity in outer space by NASA, and even Legoland in our JB and around the world. Entah bila lah dapat bawa my anak-anak syurga ke Legoland. Their cousins have even been there a few times! Should arrange once for them later.

Lego originally started by Ole Kirk in 1949, which was after WWII. The intention was to encourage the children who lived through the war focus on learning building skills during their childhood. So that they would grow up with the mentality of using their creativity, imagination, productivity to rebuild their countries and society.

I still remember how excited we were when ayah bought us this kinda too-brilliant-tiny-pricey-famous toy. Super kiasu juga Atok tu! Even though it was just the smallest box on the shelf, and of course contained the least pieces, we were soooo happy and felt soooo blessed! I still remember, how i need to share those blocks dengan my two adiks at that time, and being the eldest kakak, surely they win. At last, they had to admit that the eldest child is the smartest...

*clap-clap*

And hey, what a kiasu daddy we have in here!

He was given ten minutes to consider all the consequences; price, pieces, block characters, etc. Dengan so many types in range; LEGOCreator, LEGOFusion, LEGOduplo, LEGOFriends, LEGOCity. Lagi lama dia mencangkung di situ, i bet he will get one for himself, after kebas segala lutut dan betis dia.

Tak ada pulak gambar the girls with their good ol' toys. Untunglah korang, dapat seorang satu, no need to share.

*insert tears here*

Tapi kesahnya, dah berapa kali mak ni asyik terpijak je that tiny blocks tu. Dah bagi container seorang satu for storing, tetap juga nak tabur-tabur atas lantai. Bajet Eric Leong, tabur-tabur petals atas lantai? Sana seketul, sini seketul. Dalam rumah ni dah ada Dewan Bandaraya, semua benda nampak sedap nak ngap. Haiisssshhh...

*tarik nafas, urut dada*

Mak ni sangat lah over kalau bab-bab benda tak reti disimpan properly ni. Entah lah, korang tak sakit mata ke tengok benda-benda diletak di tempat yang tidak sepatutnya, ai is kennot ok... Mak memang ada isu berbangkit di sini. Tak boleh ke kat lego tu ada sort of magnet, so that they can stick to each other after main. Today's kids tak rajin mengemas macam ai dulu-dulu tau........

*insert eye rolling here*

Ok, their first Lego was officially brought home on Oct 28th.

Three days later,

I had received a text message from their walid that said...
