A few days ago, my Maryam celebrated her seventh birthday. S.E.V.E.N. This simply means that the mommy celebrated her seventh year of mommyhood too! It's hard to believe that it's been seven years now since the first time i signed on to be a mother, the first time i've been introduced to the twenty four seven shift - being a mother, everyone, that's the only shift they offer you! Seven years, what a bittersweet journey! And i am still figuring out on this mommyhood...
Being a little diva, my young lady was super duper excited to celebrate her birthday, she kept counting days, day to day kept reminding us on this, requesting for birthday present and what not!
I was not thinking on getting a birthday cake for her, sebab usually one whole cake ni tak habis pun dimakan kami berenam. So, on the day itself, i went to the nearest bakery to get this easy single serving dessert untuk dimakan dengan kawan-kawan. To make it outstanding sikit, mommy googled birthday and good-manner stickers tu then print and tampal one-by-one. Gigih la mommy buat sebab anak yang seorang ni detail dia lain macam sikit!
The walid pun pening nak belikan dia hadiah apa. Fikir punya fikir, he then decided to buy a watch - a Barbie watch. Habis hati la...
A few times she asking for Lego - nak yang ada castle and princess tu. At first, mommy was reluctant to buy one sebab what i remember most about lego - IT HURTS!!! If you are a mom dealing with lego bricks everyday, you know how it feels. It is a prefect booby trap, everyone, it makes us scream and yell in agony. Bravo, kids!!
Other than that, the mommy kurang suka with this kind of boring lego selection - it limits the kids' imagination. With the specialized bricks they could only build things from the provided instruction. Sel-sel otak tak berhubung. This kiasu mommy prefer Lego Classic where they provide all the basic lego bricks - yes, they still can build up to models suggested in the instruction, and the rest, up to their creativity! Sel-sel otak berhubung, gitu...
